There are four types/methods of Spiritual healing and these are listed below along with the SNU description of each one:

Hands on healing or Contact healing

Where the person is present and chooses to have healing by the laying on of hands on the body.

The SNU describes this as: Spiritual healing involving the laying on of hands directly upon the body.

Near to the body healing

This is where the hands are placed within approximately three inches of the body.

The SNU describes this as: Spiritual healing involving the placing of hands within three inches of the body.

Distant Healing

This is where the person is present but has chosen not to have hands on healing, or when you sit in the same room as someone and know that they aren’t well and send out positive thoughts and energy to them.

The SNU describes this as: healing sent by the power of thought to a person physically present but who is not receiving contact healing or near to the body healing.

Absent Healing

This is when a person is not present when healing thoughts or energies are being sent to them, whether they are unable to attend or are unawares that healing has been asked for them.

Many churches and centres have absent healing books where the names of people are put down who need help, healing, thoughts for whatever reason, the condition they are suffering from is NEVER mentioned as in doing so you break patient confidentiality and they may not want people to know what condition they are suffering from.

Absent healing may not be accepted at the time it is sent, in all instances of healing, the spirit within has the choice of accepting or rejecting the healing being sent.

The SNU describes this as: Healing sent by the power of thought to a person not physically present.
