My name is Steve and I am the author of the Mediums World website. I am a spiritualist medium myself.
I cannot put claim to the fact that I have always consciously been aware of spirit from childhood as some mediums can. Although I have always been sensitive to people’s energies and my surroundings, and I have always had an innate `knowing’ and understanding of situations and occurrences that have happened in my life, not really knowing or understanding why, until now.
The world of spirit came knocking at my door so to speak after a rather stressful and traumatic time in my life in the guise of my Grandfather, who had passed to the world of spirit a number of years before. Because of family circumstances I had only ever met him once when I was about 14 years of age, and to see him so clearly in my mind’s eye, was very confusing, but also intriguing. With all that had been going on in my life leading up to this, I thought that I was finally losing the plot!
It was only after a discussion with a member of my family who believes in the world of spirit and a private sitting with a medium recommended by them, that I began to piece things together. Up to this point I had no knowledge or understanding of the spirit world or spiritualism. As a result of the sitting I began attending my local spiritualist church eventually joining their learning group. I have since successfully completed the Spiritualists National Union (3year) West Midlands Education Programme and now work as a spiritualist medium demonstrating mediumship and taking services at spiritualist churches. I also undertake private sittings for members of the public when requested.
I have undertaken a lot of exploration and research into mediumship and spiritualism over the past years and found the internet to be a real source of information, so I thought I would have a go at trying to put a web site together and bring the basics of mediumship and the resources that the web has to offer, together in one place.
I am not a trained or experienced webmaster and I am learning as I go along, it’s fun although at times it can be hard work and confusing… I hope you find the site both interesting and informative.
