There is often some confusion between what a medium is and what a psychic is. The basic difference is that a psychic reads from your personal energy/aura and will tell you about you. A medium connects on a higher level with the world of spirit and connects with your loved ones, family and friends who have passed on to the spirit world. A medium is also psychic, but a psychic is not necessarily a medium.

So therefore if you want to know about you and the possibility of what may be in your future then you need to book a sitting with a psychic. However; if you want to connect with your loved ones, family or friends that have passed on to the spirit world, then you need to book a sitting with a medium.

A mediums work is about proving survival after physical death, they do not attempt to predict your future. Please may I ask that when you have made your decision ALWAYS make sure you check that the Psychic or Medium is a reputable one! Sadly there are people out there as with any other service who claim to be something that they are not.

If you are thinking of going down the pathway of developing mediumship yourself then please be aware that it takes a lot of time (years), patience and dedication to develop as a medium, and it is something that cannot be rushed or rushed into. The spirit world will only allow you to develop at a pace that they believe is right for you, you have to learn to TRUST in them.

Many Spiritualist churches run development classes where you can find out if you have mediumistic abilities or not. If you do not; you may decide to develop your Psychic abilities, all of us posses those to some degree and reputable psychics do some wonderful work.

If it is the path of mediumship that you follow then please be prepared for the changes that inevitably occur both within yourself and around you. Some of your friends and family may not be able to cope with or understand your newly chosen pathway and pull away from or avoid you, others it will draw closer to you; and as spirit work with you; you will find that new people and new friends will come into your life. Allow sprit to guide you through what can be unsettling and testing times.

Another thing to be aware of as you develop and your mediumship unfolds is that your level of sensitivity will increase; you will become more aware of situations and people around you and their energies. This also can be unsettling and upsetting at times but it is something we have to learn to master and control. Again that word comes through… “TRUST”. You have to learn to trust both yourself and those from spirit who work with you.
